The Undead World Tour
Coming to a bookstore near you soon!
Hey Everyone!
Start the countdown! It’s officially one week till release day.
My release party is at Tropes and Trifles on October 30th! The tickets cover the cost of a book. Tasha Coryell, author of Matchmaking for Psychopaths, will be there. I love her and her book. I would love to seem like a big deal and sell out the event so go get a ticket. It’s a costume party. I don’t know about any of you, but my kids, who double as event staff are ready. Silas is going as the mothman. Jr is some kind of Purple Rain vampire character. Daphne has a ruffled shirt. As usual, they’ll be making cupcakes with some kind of topper. Last time, the boys made cardboard knives. As for me, I’ll be walking the fine line between respectability and Halloween tramp.
Where am I going next, you ask… Oh, nowhere. Nowhere Bookshop that is. (I couldn’t help myself.) It’s in San Antonio because this is a world tour. Nowhere Bookshop has the best selection of books, a wine bar, sandwiches, a super fun staff, a gift selection that will leave you penniless. Last time I was there I bought a bag of funny socks and a pencil case and left it in an alley next to the store BEFORE the margarita. Who knows who’s wearing those “Trophy Husband” socks I bought for Terrell, probably an unhoused woman or a teenage skateboarder. Anyway, that’s how fun this store is. I can’t wait to be in convo with Carly at Nowhere.

But anyway, next, I’ll be at the Twin Cities Festival of Books. I’m getting kind of tired writing this, so I’m not going to make a flyer right now. Maybe later. I’ll be on some sort of stage at 11:30 am on November 8th at the Union Depot, which is a really beautiful space. There will be a lot of books and authors. If you’re a book lover, you should come! There will probably be food trucks. Take the light rail if you can because it’s the depot!
On November 14th, I’ll be back at Tropes and Trifles moderating a convo with Mary Janice Davidson, whose book The Reluctant Reaper is coming out. Incidentally, she also wrote a book titled Undead and Unwed. I’ve never met Mary Janice or discussed the fact that I totally stole her title, not that titles are proprietary, but still she might have thoughts. My Undead and Unwed used to be called A Vampire’s Guide to Vermont but the publisher didn’t think that screamed bestseller. Come see Mary Janice and I hawk two different books, both called Undead and Unwed.
Finally, I’ll be in Duluth. I love Duluth. I love this bookstore. I used to have all my birthdays at the ChiChi’s in Fitgers, where the bookstore is located. The last time I signed books here, I just like 3 books in 2 hours. I harassed a gay couple who had zero interest in my book but said one of their sisters might like it. Then, there were some older ladies who I practically forced to buy a copy of Errands and Espionage for their book club. Finally, there was a man who I believe was hitting on me. I hope to do better this time.
That’s it. I’m tired so you probably are too. I hope you all have a great Tuesday. Preorder Undead if you haven’t. It’ll help me stay in business. Your girl is out here trying to get more book deals. Make me look good for the publisher.
